HEAD COACH
BILL MCSWEEN
Welcome to a new hockey season Ranger Fans! My name is Bill McSween and I am the proud son of Bill and Marge McSween. When the opportunity came up for me to coach this group I was excited and could not wait to become a part of the family. I have played at the High School, Junior, and Collegiate levels of hockey. As a high school player I was voted All-State my senior year and had the opportunity to play in the Chicago Showcase and Hockey Night in Boston. This enabled me to play in NAHL and AWHL junior A hockey leagues. The highlight was playing in the Junior A National Tournament in 2002. I received a scholarship to play at Davenport University where I was a captain and won 2 National Championships. I also had the opportunity to play for my country for the USA select team in 2008.
Our coaching staff strongly believes high school hockey offers players the unique opportunity to develop as people, leaders, and pillars within the community. You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with and I am lucky to have a great coaching staff. This year we have Kyle Marchand, Logan Davis and Will Snyder who are excited to be part of Forest Hills Central Hockey. We are looking forward to carrying on the tradition of Ranger hockey and creating a winning culture. Thank you to all the parents, administration, and student athletes for making this possible. Go Rangers!
Assistant Coach, LOGAN DAVIS
Logan is a Davenport University student majoring in accounting. He will graduate in 2025 with his MBA and will look to become a CPA.
Logan went to Byron Center High School and played varsity hockey for Byron Center for 3 years. He was alos a part of their inaugural team. He was assistant captain for 2 years and captain for 1 year for the Bulldogs.
After high school, Logan went on to play junior hockey for the Detroit Metro Jets for 1 year before committing to play D1 hockey for Davenport University.
Logan joined the Ranger coaching staff during the 2021-2022 season and has been with them since.
Logan helps run the defense and helps with the penalty kill.
Logan is dedicated to teamwork, hard work, and optimism. He inspires the players to give 100% and makes sure they are loving the game.
Assistant Coach, Will Snyder
In 2002 Will moved from his hometown of Flint to Grand Rapids to play hockey and go to school at Davenport University. Will earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degree at Davenport University and currently is employeed with Davenport as a Project Manager.
Will has over 10 years of coaching experience with youth travel teams and has spent several years working specifically with goaltenders through camps or one-on-one training. He and coach McSween have spent several years coaching together.
Coaching at the high school level is something Will looks forward to due to the excitement of the community that supports the team and watching the players grow and develop.
